How they made the amazing magical stuff that the movie is filled with it whether clearly viable or even insignificantly but related to the world of the movie and the full picture. In addition to the stunning art, removable extras, and text from the original book, the new, updated edition of Harry Potter Film Wizardry includes material from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 and a removable Harry Potter Photo Album with photographs and captions from all eight movies. Overall the pullouts and book are awesome (when present) these pullouts and maps make the book but Ian the listings it neglects to outline what exactly is missing which is unacceptable. But lo and behold, Heyman happened to be at a play one night, and sitting one row in back of him was 10-yr-old Daniel Radcliffe, every bit the boy-wizard they’d been looking for. My specialist interests have always been film (in particular animation) and children's literature and I have broadcast numerous radio and TV programmes and written several books about both these topics.

There are all sorts of tear out and removable items: Harry’s invitation to Hogwarts, programs, product catalogue, tickets, cards, the marauder’s map, etc. Or to be more precise, for this particular sketch of Hogwarts and its surrounding grounds, penned in a matter of minutes by J. As a bonus feature ( of which I was deprived because this was a library book and some CRETIN stole them all from this copy), this book also contains interactive pullouts like a mauraders map, tickets to the Yule Ball, etc. Author Brian Sibley compiled the scrapbook with a combination of production notes, countless cast and crew interviews, set visits, knowledge of the book and film series, and production photos and movie stills to make the quintessential anthology of the Harry Potter film series. There is much attention to detail, even including the printed on name plate at the beginning of the book. While Harry is standing in the middle of the cover (from to the top to bottom); the others have their own circle with just their faces, entwined by a background pattern. Part of it's charm is that it looks like someone has created a personal scrap book of mementos and collectables from the Harry Potter movies. It is best to leave these as a surprise as there is a lot of excitement in discovering them for the first time!

Immerse yourself in the world of the spectacular Harry Potter film series, and learn why Yule Ball ice sculptures never melt, where Galleons, Sickles, and Knuts are really "minted," how to get a Hippogriff to work with actors, the inspiration behind the Hogwarts castle, and why Dementors move the way they do. These are just a few of the cool behind-the-scenes stories that are told in this highly entertaining book. K Rowling's celebrated novels to the silver screen, Harry Potter: Film Wizardry delivers an enchanting interactive experience, transporting readers to the wizarding world by sharing filmmaking secrets, unpublished photography and artwork, and exclusive stories from the stars. Well, maybe this is nothing more than a glorified movie magazine in book form, but it gave me plenty of entertainment value. Brian Sibley is an English author who has written over 100 hours of radio drama and has written and presented hundreds of radio documentaries, features and weekly programmes. In 1981, he co-wrote BBC Radio 4's adaptation of Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings with Michael Bakewell, and has also adapted C. Harry Potter: Film Wizardry does just that: a scrapbook that encompassed the decade-long saga, where everyone from the producers, directors, and production designer explain in details how they conceptualised some of the plot points and settings; and the actors, including the three stars, Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson, hit memory lane to disclose some of the best, funniest, and sometimes most uncomfortable times they had playing Harry, Ron, and Hermione in the films.

There are pretty little things stuck inside and very interesting facts to learn about the films/books there's a Hogwarts acceptance letter in there, a Yule ball invitation, and the Marauders map!

You can get through "Film Wizardry" in a few hours, but it is so much fun, it can be re-read again and again.
