It is also a modestly-sized cooler, measuring just 145mm tall and 98mm long (front to back), including the fan. Not gonna defend the H7 too much, because it is a PITA to mount, but after you've done it a few times, it gets better.

Not any fan would do here either, and Cryorig has supplied a relatively quiet solution that is designed to offer extra performance with its Quad Air Inlet system that offers channels to suck in more air than other fans of its size. On the front panel of the package we can find a big picture of the cooler itself accompanied by a glimpse of explanation about the product, while the full technical specification can be located on the back side of the box. Better and brighter, the H7 Quad Lumi definitely looks to be an interesting option for those wanting something a bit more flashy. There is usually an option to add more heat pipes, or you could figure out how to use larger ones in some way, or even a vapor chamber if you are so inclined.

Because people have been asking, yes LGA115x covers every single socket including LGA1151, LGA1150 and LGA1156 because the mounting hole distance is exactly the same for all of those models. For mounting to the backplate, the Cryorig H7 Quad Lumi has an X- Bar cross-shaped mount that is compatible with most AMD and Intel sockets.

Thanks to the somewhat recent "appearance" of RGB illumination AIO Liquid CPU Coolers may have further raised in popularity (pretty much due to the great looking fan/pump RGB lighting combination) but CPU Air Coolers didn't fall far behind and so there are currently quite a few models in the market also featuring RGB illumination. In addition, the QF120's housing has four additional ventilation slots, which further increase the fan's performance. After all, no matter how many fans are added there are only 3 heatpipes, which in this case really matters. The fan lead is a bit in the way, and while it is a bit tough to see the convex alignment of the trio of heat pipes, we can see they are leaning away from the memory, and will afford this cooler ample room for any sort of memory installation. And to improve the overall aesthetic of the cooler, the guys from Cryorig added a 41st fin, which is much thicker, made of plastic and is entirely in black located on top of the fins stack. When it comes to the typical air cooler, there are basic components that make a very big difference in the overall efficiency of a product. And since the cooler is fully assembled, let’s pay attention to the mounting kit and proceed with the tests.

As always before starting, make sure that all the parts listed in the user’s manual are included in the package and lay them all out for easier installation. While there is a tiny bit of leeway with the mounting hardware, after attempting the mounting a few times and closely examining the cooler, we could not find the reason that the cooler sits with a slight rightward lean at the top. Billed as a ‘Hyper 212 EVO' killer, I have been itching to review the Cryorig H7 for a long time now. Of course, for doing the tests with my rig I will use the universal brackets and as always, first thing to do is to check the AMD installation manual, read the instructions carefully and proceed with the actual cooler installation, which with this cooler is really a child’s play. Of course, all of the accessories were packed in separate nylon bags ensuring that everything will arrive with the cooler and in perfect condition.Scanning the code from your phone will take you to a video demonstration of how to complete that particular step. We opened up the English version, and snapped this image to help explain the hardware, and show how well the images and text walk you through the process. With the CPU cooler H7 Quad Lumi, Cryorig relies on four 6mm thick heatpipes that connect the nickel-plated copper base plate to the tower of the heat sink. Where the image of the right side of the H7 continues onto the next panel, we see that Cryorig lists three major features of this design, and offers a brief explanation of each.

A very long time ago I had the chance to test and review Cryorig H7, which was delivering some cooling performance but overall not able to provide good results with the AMD Vishera FX-8350.

That being said, if you follow Cryorig's advice and tighten by hand first, instead of trying to do everything while holding the cooler up-side down, it is not that difficult.
