Following a stylistic change influenced by English guitar pop groups such as the Kinks, Depeche Mode and Radiohead, Blur released Modern Life Is Rubbish (1993), Parklife (1994) and The Great Escape (1995). I don't have a clever ice cream or Blur reference to end this review on, but this album is a flavor of music we've been missing that has brought clarity to my cloud-filled album library. Initially conceived in Hong Kong, during downtime following a cancelled show in Japan, the band spent five days laying down ideas. However, the entire festival was cancelled for unknown reasons, leaving the band stranded in Hong Kong for an extra 5 days. com (also known as Esprit) has been the world's biggest and best seller of premium quality and top condition rare and vintage vinyl records, rare CD's and music memorabilia since 1985 - that's 39 years! It's an alternative rock band's album alright, but no particular sound is overpowering another; Damon's voice so perfectly compliments the instruments, as the instruments dance with his voice. Songs on The Magic Whip mention internet hotspots, satellite showers, industrial light and glass arcades.

The album will connect to everyone in a different way, but it sounded like Broken Bell's outer space sound, combined with Damon's Britpop flavor, and a lot more electronic sounds you've heard with other Blur works. Please note, The Vinyl Whistle accepts no responsibility for any package which is damaged, lost or stolen during transit.

Coxon left the band during early recording sessions for Think Tank, and Blur disbanded for several years after the end of the album's associated tour, with the members engaged in other projects. It’s fantastic, but compared to the two new songs they’ve released in 2023, it feels incredibly transitional. In November 2014, Coxon received Albarn’s approval to work further on the recordings with producer Stephen Street, while Albarn was touring his solo album, Everyday Robots. The first album from Blur in twelve years, born from a chance cancellation of a gig back in 2013, much to the disappointment of fans at the time but to their unbridled bouncy joy today. Records that aren't in picture sleeves will either be in a company sleeve or a generic plain sleeve. Anyway on listening to The Magic Whip today, it opens with the Blur sound we’re familiar with from the early to mid 90s. The group have largely been on hiatus since the Magic Whip tour, but have announced plans to reunite in 2023 for various live dates. The Magic Whip is the upcoming eighth studio album by the English rock band Blur, which will be released on 27 April 2015. Thankfully, this is the first album released this year that has left me simultaneously pleasantly relaxed and upbeat. It will be the band’s first studio album since Think Tank (2003), marking the longest gap between two studio albums in their career, their first with guitarist Graham Coxon since 13 in 1999.Two years later we made the move to our present address, 35 The Headrow, where we have remained ever since.
